Bio

Jessica McDaniel, Pharm.D., BCACP, is the site coordinator for our Kroger - Richmond residency site and preceptor in the Anticoagulation Clinic at Daily Planet.

McDaniel completed her undergraduate degree at James Madison University, majoring in both dietetics and public health education. She received her Pharm.D. from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy and then completed the VCU Community Pharmacy Residency Program at the Kroger - Richmond site. She has continued to work with Kroger in the Richmond area since residency graduation.

Currently McDaniel is the pharmacy manager at the Carytown location of Kroger where she has spent years building relationships with patients. Ensuring that her patients feel cared for when they come to the pharmacy, whether it be a medical visit, or a mid-week drop in to say ‘hello’ is her favorite part of being a community pharmacist.

McDaniel is board certified in ambulatory care and holds the Certified Health Education Specialist credential. During her career she has been named as a top pharmacist for “Best Bedside Manner” by Our Health Magazine multiple years and received the Virginia Pharmacists Association “10 under 10” Award in 2020.  

She enjoys spending her free time with her husband Dave, and their dogs Rogan, Sammy and Willie Mae. They enjoy going on road trips as a family and finding new small towns to explore, most often finding a local coffee and/or ice-cream shop along the way!
