Jean-Venable “Kelly” R. Goode, PharmD, BCPS, FAPhA, FCCP

Professor and Director, Community-Based Residency Program
VCU School of Pharmacy

Dr. Goode is Professor, Department of Pharmacotherapy and Outcomes Science, School of Pharmacy, Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). She is the Director of the VCU Community-Based Pharmacy Residency Program. She worked for 10 years with Ukrop’s Pharmacy to develop enhanced patient care programs in the community setting. Dr. Goode is currently a credentialed practitioner at the Daily Planet, Inc., a federally qualified health care center for the homeless where she has developed innovative pharmacist patient care programs within a patient-centered medical home. Pharmacist- provided services at the Daily Planet, Inc include medication therapy management, chronic disease management, immunizations, prevention and wellness, collaborative team care for high risk patients including diabetes, and pharmacist-run medication refill program. Dr. Goode has pharmacy practice experience in community, health-system, long-term care, managed care and home care. Dr. Goode is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist. She has authored a number of abstracts, special publications, and journal articles. Dr. Goode is the senior editor of the Community Pharmacy Practice Case Studies book. She is interested in practice-based research and community pharmacy practice-based research networks. Dr. Goode has given presentations on a wide variety of topics including immunizations, practice-based research networks, medication therapy management, diabetes, asthma, and innovative community pharmacy practice. Dr Goode is the Immediate Past President of the American Pharmacists Association. She has served two previous terms as APhA Trustee and is a former APhA Academy of Pharmacy Practice and Management President and Trustee. Dr. Goode has received several awards including the VCU Alumni Star, the APhA Daniel B. Smith Practice Excellence Award, Inaugural NACDS Foundation Community Pharmacy Faculty Award, APhA Community Pharmacy Residency Excellence in Precepting Award, VCU Distinguished Service Award, APhA-APPM Clinical/Pharmacotherapeutic Distinguished Achievement Award, VCU School of Pharmacy Teaching Excellence Award and VSHP Practice Innovation Award. She is a fellow in APhA and ACCP. Dr. Goode was born in Roanoke, Virginia, she received her BS in Agricultural Economics from Virginia Tech and BS in Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy from VCU. Dr. Goode is a member of VPhA, APhA, AACP, ACCP, National Academies of Practice, Phi Lambda Sigma, Rho Chi and Kappa Epsilon.

Tana N. Kaefer, PharmD

Tana Necsary Kaefer graduated with her Doctorate of Pharmacy from VCU School of Pharmacy in 2004. After graduation she completed an Accredited Community Pharmacy Practice Residency through VCU School of Pharmacy with her primary practice site at Bremo Pharmacy. Dr. Kaefer accepted a position as Clinical Coordinator at Bremo LTC Pharmacy after completing her residency in 2005 and continues to work in this role. She now oversees all clinical programs both in the community and LTC divisions of Bremo Pharmacies. Dr. Kaefer has been actively involved with the Richmond Pharmacists Association (RPhA) in some capacity since 2005 serving as a board member, treasurer, and president. She has also served on several committees and as the Region F director for the Virginia Pharmacists Association (VPhA). Dr. Kaefer is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacotherapy and Outcomes Science at VCU School of Pharmacy. In this role she precepts IPPE and APPE students as well as serving as the primary site preceptor for the Bremo Community Pharmacy Residency Program. She was honored to receive the Pharmacists Mutual Distinguished Young Pharmacist Award in 2011, the Ilene B. Stiff Local President’s Award in 2012 and be in the inaugural class of VPhA Academy of New Practitioner’s 10 Under 10. Dr. Kaefer lives in Montpelier with her husband, Scott, and son, Easton. In addition to her love for pharmacy, she also enjoys staying physically active and has special interests in fitness and nutrition.

Joseph Jadallah

Joseph Jadallah, PharmD

Buford Road Pharmacy

Dr. Jadallah is a Community Pharmacist, Clinical Services Director at Buford Road Pharmacy and a healthy living coach. He is a Resident Preceptor, Pharmacy Student Preceptor and Site Coordinator. He has been with Buford Road Pharmacy since 2008 with a focus on patient care. Currently, Buford Road Pharmacy Healthy Living Center offers travel consultations, routine and travel vaccines, weight and health management and administration of allergy, B12 and testosterone shots. The clinic also provides complete medication reviews, medication therapy management and point-of-care testing for A1c, INR, cholesterol and blood sugar. Dr. Jadallah oversees these clinic activities, provides counseling based on test results and communicates with physicians and insurance companies daily. Dr. Jadallah coordinated and conducted influenza vaccine clinics at offsite areas and businesses and has implemented and trained Pharmacists on Pharmacy-based Immunization delivery. Dr. Jadallah received his BA in Biology and minor in chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University, and his Doctor of Pharmacy from VCU in Richmond, Virginia.
